Re: How many hours to be X% sure you\'re up
Nice post Homer!
I suck at math, could you use a similar equation to calculate the accuracy of your BB/100 after a certain number of hands? |

Re: How many hours to be X% sure you\'re up
If I understand this correctly this isn't that you'd be up after X hands, it's that you'd be up (winrate)*handplayed right? So if you're a 2bb/hour player if you want 95% you'll be up, and you get 100hours. You are 95% sure you will be up 200BB in 100 hours right? Not just net +. This would make a big difference....

Re: How many hours to be X% sure you\'re up
Hi, I'm sort of new here, and really appreciate this post, as well as the old one about calculating confidence intervals for win-rates. Helps putting both winning and losing streaks in perspective. Thanks.

Re: How many hours to be X% sure you\'re up
I'll go out on a limp here and say without even checking the formulas that it means you'll get the probability of just being UP not up 2BB/100.

Re: How many hours to be X% sure you\'re up
Hands Played: 46912
BB/100: 10.17 SD/100: 37.16 (37.16/10.17)^2 = 13.35 13.35(5.2) = 69.4 hours Not too bad to have a 90% chance of being up. These numbers are from my NL100 days though. |

13.35(5.2) = 69.4 hours [/ QUOTE ] Since you used /100 This should probably be 69.4 100 hands, or 69,400 hands? |

Another great post Homer. And as usual (!?) it makes me want to cry.
