I'd fold too to SB's bet outta nowhere on the ace turn in a 5-way pot.

I'd fold too to SB's bet outta nowhere on the ace turn in a 5-way pot... [/ QUOTE ] ...but you have no way of protecting and unless you have reads you have no way of knowing someone will bet so you should just bet the flop instead of the c/r which justs builds the pot for the drawing hands while your hand is vulnerable. Just a continuation, hope you dont mind :] |

I think you gotta bet the flop. You have given no reads to lead us to believe that certain players are passive and you have a LAG button that will bet anything so you can get in a c/r. [ QUOTE ]
An extremely dificult hand OOP with QQ [/ QUOTE ] I think you made this hand a lot harder on yourself. Just bet the flop. hand is a lot easier afterwards. |

I agree: play it straightforward and bet the flop

I bet the flop. Loose players that call with just Ax will probably not fold to the c/r. They are in for 1, why not 2 bets. And for that matter, even if you do bet, then they are only in for 1 bet anyway. Tough hand.

Bet the flop. You don't want to give a free card under any circumstance because of the flush draw and any A or K that may come on the later streets. Hopefully, someone raises behind you, which may knock out any A behind you and increases your odds to win the pot dramatically.
Good fold on the turn. |

I don't like your flop check raise. You have a vulnerable hand and nobody is folding in this spot. There are lots of cards that can come that will wreck your hand. Either bet it your self and hope for a raise behind you or check call with the intention of betting/raising a safe turn card.

i'm sure this thread is filling with this advice already, but: Bet the flop! other than that, the fold on the turn is fine given the fact that sB came alive when the A hit.
