Re: Caught redhanded, do I call?
I'd say no, because it seems very likely that you'd be up against an overpair -- of course, a disaster. You're not completely dead with 10 BB after the hand.

Re: Caught redhanded, do I call?
Depends on your read. You're getting 2-1 on your call so if you put him on high cards or an underpair you should call.

Re: Caught redhanded, do I call?
Yeah, of course it depends on what hand range I put him on. That's what I want help with.
Also, I'm interested in what people think about how this sort of hand, if I call and suckout (well, or if I fold), will influence my future image and fe. |

Re: Caught redhanded, do I call?
Very tough spot. I think fold. I tried some hand ranges and I think you are probably at least a 2 to 1 dog.
You probably agree at this point, but I don't think the raise was a good move. It was too much of your stack. It was into a very big stack. Maybe if you were expecting a call from the big stack and planning on pushing any flop it wouldn't be too bad. As far as future image goes, a tight image is probably the most useful when you get to the bubble, but anytime you know what your opponant thinks you will do, you can exploit him. |

Re: Caught redhanded, do I call?
I thought it was a pretty good spot, but I'd welcome a discussion on the subject. Him being a big stack made it less likely that he had a quality hand imo.
I've run some ranges as well, but I'm hoping for some more responses before I sum up my thoughts on the hand. |
