Re: A4s, no position
Very good post.
[ QUOTE ] The problem in this specific case is that if PM leads, he cannot feel good if he gets raised. He has now made the pot big , and has put himself in a difficult spot where there are good chance of folding or calling incorrectly. [/ QUOTE ] These are exactly my thoughts (and problem) with leading the turn. I really didn't want to build this pot myself. If someone IS going to build it, I'll let villain do it, with a greater chance of me being ahead, IMO. |

Re: A4s, no position
I agree with Jason about the merits of betting the turn. I also think that leading the river is better because at this point he might very well be confused into looking you up with a non A hand while he might also check those hands behind to get to showdown (with my mediocre hands in situations like this I often take that line, figuring betting the turn and checking the river will get me to showdown cheaper than checking behind on the turn and calling a small river bet). On the other hand you aren't really particularly concerned about calling a raise since your almost certainly behind if you get popped.

[ QUOTE ]
Classic way ahead, way behind. When A hits turn, I play it just like you. [/ QUOTE ] i disagree this is way ahead, way behind. there are flush and straight draws out. if it A 7 2r on the flop, i would agree. |
