Without seeing you throw a ball, I would bet money on this one. [/ QUOTE ] Do you bowl in regionals? Where are you from? What's your average? On certain conditions you would have a big advantage over me, I'm not as versatile as I should be. The fact you're willing to bet on it outright suggests you are probably more accomplished than I am. I will say without a doubt that I am the best two-finger bowler on 2+2. NT |

Why don't you guys post your avg. score? [/ QUOTE ] I did ask him this, but it should be pointed out that average is a poor indicator as the difficulty of the shot you bowl on is a major factor. If he bowls regularly in a sport shot or PBA pattern league and averages 200 he's way better than a house bowler who averages 220 (like me). NT |

NT [/ QUOTE ] Yeah you'll get screwed with PBA oil patterns since with your 2 finger style I assume you rely on a lot of ball action down the lane. If you were a typical bowler with a fairly straight shot and averaged 220 I think you'd be PBA caliber, only because the patterns wouldn't affect you much. That being said, I'd bet money on me versus anyone else who bowls once per year (like me) and uses house equipment. I will test my theory at some point. It'd be neat to make a PBA show with rented shoes and a blue ebonite house ball with a chip in it and the numbers 1 and 6 prominently displayed. ~D |

I'm from Seattle and I average around 220-225 on your everyday league pattern. In junior bowling (which is a lot more competitive than it sounds), I was regarded as one of the best bowlers in the nation. I bowled on very good teams with the best from Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. No doubt that you could beat me two fingered. That's some hard stuff to master. Heck you may be able to beat me the majority of the time on the league condition using 2 fingers. That condition is just so conducive to that type of roll that if you have some consistency you can score huge. |

And you and NT make good points about condition. Bowling on league conditions is a very poor indicator of ability. The PBA shots are really the best because the sport shots can be so difficult that it's almost no fun. |

8 Man/Inside Center Penn State How bout you? [/ QUOTE ] A little bit of everything but mostly backrow, mostly 8. I started off at lock when I first started playing, but I didnt have quite the mass so I got moved to backrow and played there for the rest of my college days. In the men's league I was in I split between 8 and flyhalf. We had trouble keeping our numbers up so being one of the few guys on the team with any real experience the coach moved me back and forth depending on who showed up that day. I seem to remember Penn State usually having some really good teams, but then again, so did Navy. What years did you play? |

Unless you have had your tour card I doubt you are the best golfer.
I am among the best at lurking and adding little. |
