bin laden interview from last year *not* from .gov
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=bi...com&rnum=1
----------------------------------- ``I tell you, freedom and human rights in America are doomed. The U.S. government will lead the American people in and the West in general into an unbearable hell and a choking life.'' ... The Al-Jazeera interviewer pressed bin Laden on his responsibility for the Sept. 11 terror attacks on New York and the Pentagon but got ambiguous answers. ``America has made many accusations against us and many other Muslims around the world. Its charge that we are carrying out acts of terrorism is unwarranted,'' bin Laden said in his first answer. But moments later, CNN said, bin Laden took up the subject once more and said: ``If inciting people to do that is terrorism, and if killing those who kill our sons is terrorism, then let history be witness that we are terrorists.'' ... ------------------------------------------ well especially if the new improved 'patriot' act passes (after next terror attack) then i agree with bin laden that we americans will live in a surveilance thought crime society that can be described as a choking hell. im no fan of bin laden, his cia association alone makes him despicable. and im sure he would slit my throat in a heartbeat. but i cant disagree with what he says in this interview, from his perspective, of course. (somebody kills my family, im going after them too, thats all i mean.) btw, if patriot act 2 passes i could theoretically be arrested for saying this. |

Brad essentially what you are saying here "btw, if patriot act 2 passes i could theoretically be arrested for saying this." is that there is still hope? Tell me Brad, do you worry about getting your pocket aces cracked before it happens too?

------------------------ The draft legislation would reduce judicial oversight of surveillance, authorize secret arrests, create new death penalties and allow the government to revoke the citizenship of any American who is a member of -- or gives material support to -- a group designated as a "terrorist organization" by Ashcroft. ----------------------------------------------------- i dont know jim, maybe you think this is a good idea. |

Re: bin laden interview from last year *not* from .gov
Brad I do not see any verbatim quotes from this mysterious bill the article suggests exists. Perhaps it exists only in the imagination of this newspaper. I quote from the article "Charles Lewis, executive director of the Center for Public Integrity, speculates......." This phrase says it all for now, a lot of speculation and little substance. As for that driving tax Brad, I still have yet to see my first bill. Have you got one yet? Now "choking in Hell" seems a little harsh too brad! Someone steal your bullet today?

Brad with an unbiased authority like Bill Moyers as your source it must be true. I was going to read the document but am not going to wait 15 minutes for the dowmload so I'll believe you that it suggests all those dastardly deeds you described. Oh, just what is so bad about those ideas in the first place Brad?
