the m1070 was the first in the HP line to come with PCI-E, well before any other pre-built systems, at a time when there was like 2 PCI-E motherboards you could get. It has PCI-E.

[ QUOTE ]
The reason why PCI video cards can handle 4 monitors for stock traders is because trading apps don't need to screen refresh quickly, so slow performance is not an issue. [/ QUOTE ] you don't understand how refresh rates work, do you... |

[ QUOTE ]
Is it possible for my motherboard to have that slot, but still not be compatible with a quad-display video card? No. [/ QUOTE ] Well, when I called the guy back and talked to him again, he insisted that the PCI-E card would not work on my motherboard. Yes it has the slot, but no it isn't compatible with that specific video card. He sent me different drivers for the video card, and since updating them I have no problems. I have another 1 Gig of RAM that I had shipped out to me, it should arrive today. |

How much did that cost (just the monitors/brackets) if you don't mind me asking. Can you give me a link to the website where you bought this from. TY, Rom. (My tripple monitor set-up pales into insignificance to the beauty of this setup!) |
