The player commentary consists of a lot of Hellmuthian self congratulating, and awkwardness between all four of the featured pros. I felt that there was not much redeeming quality to it... On the other hand, the writer/director/Edward Norton commentary was really good, and it's worth the purchase just for that.
In summary - Pro commentary - less gooder Actor/writer/director commentary - more gooder (ona fans? anyone, anyone?) |

The pro commentary made the movie a lot better, I thought. Even though Ferguson only says about three words during the whole thing, and Hellmuth talked too much, it was still entertaining.

Ferguson's pizza joke right at the end was funny. I'm not a Helmuth fan but if he didn't keep talking there would have been nothing on that track.
The director commentary was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard self-congratulatory. You're not missing anything if you haven't heard either. |

Hellmuth also basically ignores Ferguson and Moneymaker and just tries to buddy along with Chan the whole time.
"Remember that hand we played, huh Johnny?" "Oh man, when we used to play those tournaments together me and John, remember John?" Lots of that. |
