Default Anybody got Soulseek?

Soulseek main page here

Soulseek has its upsides and its downsides. Upsides are the community type feel, but the lines are kinda lame.

Anyway, good thing about soulseek is the ability to add people to lists and browse their files. If you guys want, set it up and message me on there as Varuna (case sensitive) so I can add you and you can browse my files and download whatever you want. Maybe we can get a good network going so we can find some kickass music.

Soulseek is probably the closest thing to the original napster. You search for files and download off of one user. You have a friends list and can set download permissions (to all, to friends, or to none). You can browse all a user's saved files and download a whole folder.

If all a user's upload slots are being used, you get queued. If you donate you get a period of time where you skip ahead of the queues (it's roughly $5/mo).

You can also download other types of files, but it's used mainly for indie, foreign (especially Japanese), dance, and hip hop.

Click on your user list. Click Add User at the top toolbar, and type in Varuna - just like that. Then double click. I've added you anyway, but you know that. Since I'm talking to you. Weird.
