Fold PF to the raise. Your odds of flopping a flush are 118 to 1, and your odds of flopping a four flush are 7.5 to 1. Your ace outs are likely no good.

Since you flopped 4 to the nut flush, you'll make this roughly 1 out of 3 times. So you're betting $115.55 to win $355.90. This is getting you a little less than 3 to 1 on your money so a call would be correct.

I'm not a math expert and I got those odds out of SS, so please someone correct me if they're wrong. Also, if someone could post the equations to calculate those odds, that might help. Also, he is getting 3 to 1 on his money right? (For some reason I'm thinking he'd be getting 2 to 1 on his money, in which case the call would be incorrect.)

am i all wrong in my thinking??? 9 outs on flop gives u pretty close to 2 to 1 odds...should i maybe take into account the set which I thought possible(in other words even if i get the flush...the odds for the board pairing??) what would be the numbers to calculat that??

(52-5)/9 = 5.22/2 = 2.61
(# in deck - # cards known) / outs = odds of making flush in 1 card/cards to come

1. Fold pre-flop. You are out of position and might get caught up with a TP-bad kicker problem.
2. Fold when a CALLING STATION raises. If a calling station ever raises you know he has a hand.

Our hero is risking 115 to win 292 (71+116+105). So he is getting better than 1 to 2.5 on his money. The odds on his draw are nearly 1 to 2 so its a worthwhile call barring any risk aversion or limited bankroll considerations.

Hi,

Fold preflop, since you didn't.....

When it comes back to you I would completely discount your A outs. I am pretty sure you are against a set here. Your flush gives you about 30% equity in this situation against a set and an overpair.

When it comes back you are putting $115 to win $280

7 in 10 you lose $115 ($805)
3 in 10 you win $280 ($840)

Net = +$35 or $3.50 every call

Bearing in mind this is when you are against a set (you won't always be) then I think this is a call

why -5...know hearts is 4....do u assume 1 out of 4 hearts for the other 2 hands and if so should you adjust this for folded cards also.

this is what I was going by for outs odds on flop..

4 outs+5 to 1
6=3.1 to 1
8=2.1 to 1
10=1.6 to 1

do I need a different chart????

5 is the number of cards known in the deck (2 in hand 3 on board). 9 is the number of hearts left, your number of outs. Aces with a bad kicker will not win the pot a majority of the pot so you don't count any more aces as your outs.
