Weather Vanes?
Unless your sailing a ship, or kicking field goals, what purpose do they serve?
Why do old farms have those rooster weather vanes? What did farmers need to know about wind? |

Makes for a great and original camera shot right before the tornadoes sweep through.

Re: Weather Vanes?
If you're in the midwest, and the wind is blowing from the east, you're in trouble.

Re: Weather Vanes?
its useful to know wind direction. for weather forcasting. guessing speed of an approaching storm, etc. i have one of those that also spin. gives me direction and speed, by looking out the window.
plus if you are shoveling manure you want the wind at your back. |

Re: Weather Vanes?
cool, those sound like good reasons. although they are probably a bit outdated with all the current meteorological technolgy these days.

then answer it douchebag [/ QUOTE ] Now now now, let's not resort to name calling. If it were a good question, I might take a stab at it, but since it is not, I don't see any reason to coment futher. |
