I definitely like the portrait mode.

Then again, I usually favor less clutter.

I actually voted for the vertical even though I prefer a horiz. layout. This is why...

The brick does it for me... if that's a requirement than I think pyramids in front of a brick wall just don't work for me... looks odd. I know you said to disregard all other aspects but this seemed like one that you were keeping from some earlier posts.

My preference is for the horizontal layout & sky type back ground or if the brick is to be kept than to merge the pyramids onto the brick so appear to be painted on the brick.

Although I agree that the simplicity of the vert. plaque is ok I'd prefer a more ornate plaque.

My thoughts,
Fins

I just wanted to throw out one quick thought about the orientation of the design. I've only ever played with plaques, or jetons is you prefer, once. You tend to have them stacked, well stacked until you lose 'em , horizontal so they don't stick out to far into the playing area. So most people tend to naturally do this. Every jeton (or plaque if you prefer) I've ever seen has been horizontally/landscaped so this is how most folks will be looking at the marker.

Obviously this is neither here nor there, I just thought I'd throw that out.

Here's B&G's (aka GCI) plaques et jetons:

I just had the same idea as I was reading the thread as Meridian. That being said, I like the vertical plaque since it's a little less busy. Maybe the pyramids could be removed on the horizontal plaque?

And it'll look much cooler with the back of Tut's mask on the back of the plaque.

I've been wondering about this. Will it double the artwork fee for the plague?
BTW: I still think the catouche should be vertical, maybe smaller in same palce?
peace.

It'll add to the setup fees, but not double. For a 39mm chip it'd be $85 extra, one time. Probably a little more for the plaque.
