Re: KK, KAA flop, 5 call down.
Why didn't you keep putting in bets on the flop? Only 2 hands beat you right now, and there are lots of dead draws out there right now that will call bets on the flop (hearts and gutshots). Same thing applies to the turn. There are 5 players and you let it go through for just one bet when you almost surely have the best hand...

Re: KK, KAA flop, 5 call down.
and the two hands that do beat you would have 3-bet preflop (one would hope)

Re: KK, KAA flop, 5 call down.
You know you have a full house, right?
You forgot to reraise the flop and you forgot to bet the turn. |

Raise! Raise! Raise!
This looks like one of those hands where you have to put as much money as possible into the pot, got scared, and lost anyway. Otherwise, you wouldn't be wondering whether you played it right or not, because if you did win you'd know that should've been more aggressive.

Re: KK, KAA flop, 5 call down.
Your "bet/raise" button should have been checked the whole time, unless of course it gets capped when you can only call, thats the only time its ok to just call

Re: KK, KAA flop, 5 call down.
I don't get the problem. You, TheLance, flopped a full house. It is not a roomy house, spacious house, empty house, or beige house with pink shudders - it is a full house.
This means that you will make all men tremble in fear when you bet. You will laugh at their futile efforts at online poker success as you rake in the pot. You will pillage their feeble bankrolls and ravage their women. If somebody outdrew you with A9 or A2, you will have to put your visions of grandeur on hold for awhile - but not for long - since in order to do that, they would have had to call two cold with A9 or A2. In sum, raise. Every time. If there is an instance in this hand where raising is not the best option, I for one can't see it. Alex |
