Re: Another Card Game
Does everyone then contribute puzzles like this then in their first 50 posts? Give me a chance and maybe I'll have something original to say in a few hundred posts time! If I survive low-limit hell on PokerStars tables that is ...

Re: Another Card Game
Honestly, don't worry about it, when Granny said it's five archives back, she wasn't far out.
I can't even find it as it's in the condensed format somewhere on the archive section. Also your post was in keeping with current topics and a damn sight more interesting than the huge bleating we get on here about trivial stuff. Lori |

Re: Another Card Game
Maybe I am reading it incorrectly, but I dont see how your chances are improved.
So there are for cards, call them A, B, C, and D. Let's assume you pick card A. Now the dealer will flip up two cards that are not the Ace of spades. Let's assume he flips over B and C, leavin A and D face down. Now he ask you if you want to switch your pick from A to D. I dont see how your odds improved since either A or D can be Ace of spades. |

Re: Another Card Game
But before the card you picked is flipped over, the dealer turns over two of the other three cards, revealing two aces naturally... but not the ace of spades!
Maybe I am reading it incorrectly, but I dont see how your chances are improved You are told before the cards are dealt that the dealer is going to remove two aces for you. Have another look bearing in mind that this is the crucial bit. Lori |
