Showing Your Hand
I've got my PokerStars set to muck losing hands and not show winning hands by default.
Is there anyone here that shows your hands on purpose? It would seem to be giving your opponents information they don't need. In some cases, do you feel that showing your hand helps you more than your opponent? |

Re: Showing Your Hand
When opponents are giving you so much respect that your big hands simply arent getting paid off, it's worth showing a bluff. However, if you're getting that much respect you're probably playing sub optimally. That is, you should utilize your tight table image to take down more pots until you get to the point in which your bluffs are getting called often enough to make them less profitable.
You might also want to show if it will put a maniac on tilt and there's a very good chance that he'll pay off a big hand later that he wouldn't have otherwise. |
