Pay off?
Villain is 50/12/1.8.
Like 5 minutes ago I raised pf and he came along. He donked the flop and turn and I raised him on the turn. He donket the river and showed ace high. That't about it with reads. Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls. Re: Pay off?
I don't know dude. Is this Ax (x<8) without hearts often enough? That's a fairly scary board for villain to bluff at - even this nut. A flop c/r is different than a donkbet, IMO. I think we can fold.

Re: Pay off?
I fold this everytime, his c/r on the flop is either pair / flush draw.
If the river wasn't a heart then I would play. Noticed he played this differently than A high. e.g. He bet trying to steal, but this time he has c/r. I would give him credit for a pair/flush draw here. True |

Re: Pay off?
I think I would call here. Gutshots/straights (QJ/QT/JT at least) are a definite possibility here and I think you'll see them (or worse) more often than 1/7 of the time, particularly given the aggressive play you've described the villian as capable of.
One interesting tidbit I got out of coaching was that it was good to use things like flush draws/straight draws picked up on the turn to randomize your ace high calldowns. Since you're on the river and there's a reasonable chance of a bluff here I think it's ok to call. |
