Terrible day in cash games (warning: *rant*)
Uff, I'm trying to discipline myself and play some cash games, at least 8 hours a week. I decided to 8-table 30-60 tonight, and after droping like $2,500, I decided to play some 50-100. I won about $2000 in the 50-100 and was about to quit, in fact I quit the 50-100 games and just keep playing the 30-60. Well, I don't know how, but I manage to lose about $6,500 (total) in the 30-60 game; so, I lost $4,500 in cash games today, so much for the discipline. I hadn't had a losing session in 30-60 in a long, long time; but variance always catch you and tonight I was the biggest fish in the 30-60 tables.

If you play a lot of limit, I don't see how this is possible as very proficient players can expect to earn between 1 and 2 BB per hour |

I don't play nearly as high as you, but I find it is not a good idea to force myself to play cash games. Limit holdem can be kind of boring. I enjoy playing tournaments and do well at them, so I play them. Maybe play cash games when you feel in the mood to play something different.
