When to get involved
Do any of you like to open up in level 3, or do you wait till later for hands like this?
NL Hold'em $20 Buy-in + $2 Entry Fee Trny:8267140 Level:3 Blinds(25/50) - Thursday, December 30, 13:16:59 EDT 2004 Table Table 13826 (Real Money) Seat 4 is the button Total number of players : 7 Seat 5: Superbn ( $1230 ) Seat 7: JodyMaroni ( $815 ) Seat 8: Hero ( $865 ) Seat 1: PowderP1313 ( $1013 ) Seat 4: titanx16 ( $795 ) Seat 6: HONDO58 ( $2734 ) Seat 2: Piranha2 ( $548 ) Trny:8267140 Level:3 Blinds(25/50) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ Ah Jc ] JodyMaroni folds. PowderP1313 wins 175 chips Position is my main reasoning for folding these hands, and I do very often without hesitation in rounds 1-3. I am not a big fan of limping in and folding to a raise this early on. What do you think of this and how do you approach it? |

Re: When to get involved
I fold hand 2 in an instant, AJ is more debatable but probably a fold from EP.

Re: When to get involved
AJ 7 handed, I'm raising 3*BB. Full table I'll limp from early position.

Re: When to get involved
Agreed, hand 2 is auto fold for me.
Hand 1, if I have been watching and reckon I can see the flop for 50 then I might limp. Don't get attached to AJo, this is a tough hand to play from EP. Be prepared to fold it often on the flop. If in doubt I agree: fold it PF. Tim |
