I'm surprised no one has posted this yet, so I'll fire away.
The PP bad beat Jackpot is set at four Tens or better as the losing hand. Both cards in each hand must play. At a 10 player table, if every player took their hand to showdown every time, what would the occurance rate of Jackpots be? 1 per ?,???,??? hands? Does anyone have a hand that would qualify in their Poker Tracker database? More than one? |

I don't have any idea how to calculate such odds
But even then I wonder how often the two hands would each stay to the river? The class of hands in a qualifying bad beat includes straight flush draws with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ! |

You could start with a no fold'em number and fudge from there. |

One thing that restricts it a bit is that you have to use BOTH hole cards. So quad tens with a TTTxx board would not count.

[/ QUOTE ] Not true, If your other hole card beats the board, it plays as a kicker. I won mine with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] when the board was 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and my oppenent held 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] The restrictions at the local room are similar to the above, As full of Ts or better and it gets to 20-30K before it hits, but has been as high as 61K. |

What if you held K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
and the board was T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and your opponent held A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]? I have no idea how to figure this out, but I can offer some empirical evidence from one of casinos that I play in.
They award a Bad Beat Jackpot to anyone who loses with aces full of tens or better. Both hole cards must play. There cannot be three aces on the board. The jackpot drop is $1. The jackpot generally gets to around $25,000 before it seems 'due to hit'. The highest I ever saw it was around $32,000. Many of the locals will switch to the jackpot games when the amount is over $22,000. It seems like the number of hands between jackpots is around 28,000 under these conditions. Oh yeah, we're talking about holdem. |

I just sent an email to party asking 1. The drop, 2. The percentage of the drop that goes to the jackpot, 3. If the standards would stay the same when the beta period is over. One thing to consider is that party deals exponentially larger hands than a B&M, so they either need to compensate throught the standards or the percentage of drop kept. I did however recommend that the standards be set at any quads beat, or a high hand bonus to compensate for the high standard. I would be extremely interested in the likelyhood of quad Tens getting beat for future emails though, I pulled 40,000 to one from the back of my mind, but after reading this post I seem to be WAY off.
