Re: An Almost Perfect Flop...How do you play this KQs?
You played it correctly in my opinion. You got a piece of the flop and had the right odds to call on both the flop and the turn. I certainly wouldn't bet the river since an Ace is probably out there and there aren't a lot of hands that would call you...
If anything i might not raise pre-flop, all depends on the table makeup. |

Re: An Almost Perfect Flop...How do you play this KQs?
I like your play here except I would probably raise the flop. If a three bet can buy the button, you can possibly take a free card on the turn, and a three bet is beleivable because you could very easily have AQ, which is what a three bet would represent, and might chase a weaker ace out to make your second pair a winning hand. Otherwise I think you played the hand perfectly.

A weaker ace is very unlikely to fold at these limits. A chasable weaker ace probably won't call a raise preflop.
I think he played it just fine. |

why is 2betting the flop correct? my hand in unlikely to be good, but i do have the nut flush draw, so don't i want people to stay in the pot?

You'll maximize your winnings that way if you hit. However, 3betting the flop does give you a strong possibility of getting a free card on the turn. In this situation I think the best course of action is just calling the flop here. |

Re: An Almost Perfect Flop...How do you play this KQs?
Pump the pot - Cap if possible.
The SB and BB already have money in, and most likely won't fold for another bet. IF MP drops, so be it, but you get the button, and a possible free card. Nut Flush draws should always be primmed - especially when you a pair a portion of it. Sarge[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] |

Re: An Almost Perfect Flop...How do you play this KQs?
You're only likely to lose 1 guy with the others calling multiple bets or raising. The guy you'd likely lose will give you the button. btw, you're 3 betting, not 2 betting here. The possible bets you collect from the other guys will more than make up for that 1 guy you lose here.
You have a nut flush, any Q, b-door str8 draw. That's alot of possible outs. You may even get someone out that makes hitting a K a more viable out, adding 3 more. With 2 opponents, you're making money jamming this flop. Even if someone has an A. Then, if checked to on the turn, you have the option of a possible free card. Note, if you coldcall, they will put you on a draw most likely. 3 betting here, along with value, disguises your hand a bit. If there were more players to act behind you, i might buy in on just calling. b |

You can pump it on that flop for value.
