A9s in EP
Table is not as aggressive as normal at party 15/30; not much outright bluffing and a bet normally means a decent hand. CO and BB seem to be average players, I certainly haven't observed them getting out of line yet.
Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (9 handed) Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB checks. Turn: (2.83 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, BB calls. Re: A9s in EP
If I were coming in w/ A9s pf, I would have raised. Having raised, I would have bet on the flop.

Re: A9s in EP
My preflop play of this hand would be fold, raise, and call about 60/30/10.

Re: A9s in EP
You 2 don't think A9s is playable in EP at party ? I would certainly disagree with that at about 95% of the tables.

Re: A9s in EP
I haven't played that much Party 15/30, but it would be raise or fold time for me with a hand like A9s in early position, first player to enter the pot.
A lot of players like to raise and isolate the limper at these tables, in my experience, YMMV. |

Raise?/Call?/fold? preflop...my arguments
c'mon now. a9s is quite playable in all but the most aggressive games on party. this is something i'm now very comfortable with... raise/call/fold for ME= 0%/95%/5%
thats it...i never raise with it because that seems just retarded to me. why put in that much money out of position with a ahnd you'd LIKE MORE CALLERS with? i limp almost all the time as that engenders more limping and an occasional raise which i don't mind too much. i fold against those maniacs who will likely have it be 2 or 3 more back to me which i'd have to fold to so theres no reason to limp in the first place. -Barron |

Re: A9s in EP
I'm wondering what the hell the CO calls then caps with on the river, he either misread his hand or is colluding with the BB?

Re: A9s in EP
you are correct about the frequent isolation raises but it can be dealt with, even after limping
