QQ hand, felt strange to play it like this
B&M 15/30. Solid player opens for a raise UTG. Everyone folds to me in MP. I have QQ, so I make it three bets without looking left to see if anyone is telegraphing a fold.
Everyone folds to UTG, who seems happy to make it four bets. I call. I flop an overpair on a rainbow board. I call his bet. I have an overpair on the turn. I call his bet. The river is a jack. I call his bet. Whaddaya think? |

Re: QQ hand, felt strange to play it like this
I'm going to hazard a guess that this isn't the sort of player to cap preflop with AK, I can see shutting down into check call mode to try and see the showdown as cheap as possible, resisting the check raise attempt if it's checked to me on the river. Something just doesn't smell correct.

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Of course there's a slim chance that you're looking at a FPS 4-bet with AJs, but obviously you're probably looking at AA or KK. I see nothing wrong with checking and calling here.
