Party Tourney Bug
Not sure if this has been brought up before but I hadn't seen it mentioned before. I think the following hand history explains it all. I'm currently waiting for a live floorperson to bring this to their attention.

Re: Party Tourney Bug
Here is my conversation with support
LFP: Welcome to our Live Chat Feature. Please hold while the next available agent joins the chat session. Sruthi: Thank you for holding. Sruthi has joined this chat session. Sruthi:How may I help you today? aces961:On hand 321993327 aces961:I am wondering why player fxdwg61 was allowed to fold in the small blind when the big blind was all in for less chips than the small blind Sruthi:Would you mind holding, while I look into this for you? aces961:Not at all Sruthi:He selected the advanced option of fold. aces961:yes but this is a situation in which he should not have been allowed to fold aces961:He already had more chips in the pot than the remaining player had all in Sruthi:The minute the cards were dealt to him...he had received the advanced options and he checked the advanced ioption of Fold... Sruthi:and hence when it was his turn to act.. Sruthi:he folded. aces961:That still doesn't answer why his hand was allowed to be folded aces961:Also I'm pretty sure he did not have the advanced option to fold selected since there was about a 10 second delay from when he was to act and when he folded Sruthi:We do not know as to why he folded.... Sruthi:it was hisdecision to fold and so he folded. aces961:While I dispute that he should be allowed to fold aces961:Suppose that if in fact he can fold, why would all 200 of those chips go to the big blind aces961:When he only had 170 to bet Sruthi:The blinds were 200/400 Sruthi:and so he post the small Blind but the person who was supposed to pist the Big Blind.... aces961:If this were allowed than say a big blind all in for 15 chips at 1000/2000 could have 1015 chips after the hand if the small blind were allowed to fold Sruthi:he had just 170 in his account so he post all that he had and wadeemed all-in aces961:You clearly can't support that a person can go from 15 to 1015 chips in 1 hand at a 10 person table aces961:Please talk to someone who actually knows the rules of poker before answering this Sruthi:I am checking..Please give me a mt... Sruthi:Can I have this hand looked into and get back to you? aces961k, will this be by email? Sruthi:In that hand.. Sruthi:the player who post the Big Blind.... Sruthi:Had just 170 in his account.. Sruthi:and put all the amount for the Blind... Sruthi:and since in that hand no one bet...he won the amount... Sruthi:Everyone in that hand folded. aces961:The problem is poker is a chip for chip game aces961:If you only bet 170 you should only be able to win 170 from each player in the hand Sruthi:Will it be fine..if I could e-mail you regarding this? aces961:yes Sruthi:But.. Sruthi:in that hand...the player who post the small blind also folded. Sruthi:so there was no pot at all. aces961:My arguement is first that the small blind should not be allowed told aces961:and also that if he is allowed to fold in this case aces961:that the big blind should only win chips equal to those he risked Sruthi:I will e-mail you regarding this in detail... aces961:thank you Sruthi:You are welcome. |

Re: Party Tourney Bug
This is a known bug that will be fixed. As soon as it is fixed the SB would not have an option to fold if it is folded around to him. He would be given the difference back and the hand will play out.

Re: Party Tourney Bug
Off topic, but i am curious if you have a quick answer and mean no offense. When party hires support people are they required to have poker knowledge or are they put through a training course on some things that a Tournament Director might have to know. If so, how long is this course?
