Default Hand from tonight\'s 2+2 table

Here's a hand from tonight that left me with a few questions.

Party Poker 0.50/1 (10 handed)
Hero has 8h, 8d and is Button

Hero raises, BB 3-bets, UTG folds, Hero calls

Flop(7 SB): 7d, Jh, 4c

BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls

Turn(11 BB): 2c

BB bets.

1) Comments all streets up to the turn.
2) What to do on the turn.

Call the flop 3-bet and fold the turn unimproved. After you've capped and he bets the turn I would just fold secure in the fact that he has me beat.

Capping the flop seems excessive.

Why would you cap on the flop when you only called a reraise preflop?

I do not think I would have capped it on the flop, unless the player habitually overplayed hands like AQ or AK.

You have to call the turn your getting 11-1.
If he checks the turn, dont walk into a checkraise.

The river depends on the rest of the board. I would like to put this opponent on a hand like 10's or Queens.

Well, this was a weird hand. I folded to the turn bet and my opponent turn over AQo. I can't believe that the player would play the hand the same way at a different table. Looking at it now, I should have capped the flop, that might have gave me more control of the hand. Thanks for the input.

I thought you did.

I dunno who BB was, but that turn bet with A-Qo sucks.

Sorry, meant preflop. I don't see anyone here playing AQ like that in a non-2+2 game.

True, but if the game is supposed to be for practice, I'm not sure what he's practicing with that bet, except how to piss away chips.

Capping pre-flop would be bold, but I wouldn't ever do something like that unless my opponent had shown consistanly that he would 3 bet from the blinds with trash.

If this bet caused an opponent to fold a better hand, why did it suck?

Cuz most of the time he is losing. I mean, his opponent capped the flop. Do often bet into someone who capped the flop holding nothing?
