hand history and support at Party and Empire, any difference?
Hello,
I play 120+ hours a month at PartyPoker LL and keep my stats archive with PokerTracker. Last month Party started to often ignore/lose HH mails requests or send them with great delays. (Tech support answered that "there is a huge number of mails going out of Mail Server every minute, so we have prioritized the Mail Queue for a quicker delivery to resolve this problem.") I don't like to be that low prioritized so often. Yes, support several times manually sended me specific sessions transcripts in doc-files under my request but now they tend to ignore such requests. I feel it like a kick to my back. It's also so boring to track which sessions records were lost. Because of this I am looking for something with better HH service with same games around. Here is my question: is there same or another engine for hand history request at Empire, Intertops, Multipoker, Eurobet etc.? Has anybody experienced anything like this there? What is your overall experience about another skins customer support staff in compare with overall level of Party's supporters? (I found Lucy Jones work very helpful but she alone can't work instead of everyone else.) Thanks! |

Re: hand history and support at Party and Empire, any difference?
With the very rare times when something specific to Empire or Party might come up...and these are very rare! If Party doesn't work, Empire doesn't either.
I think that I have found one instance when the Party Poker website was functioning and Empire wasn't, and perhaps a multi tourney at Empire went down when Party wasn't running the same tourney. Does anyone remember if Party went down the night Empire lost their $750 freeroll and at first they just pretended the whole thing never happened? My guess is they did, but it wasn't as big a deal, since no major tourneys were affected, and server meltdowns have happened often enough not to be earth shaking, as they get resolved properly. With Party and with the skins, it seems often to be how quickly you can find the people who can actually understand the problem and fix it. The people at the top know poker, but the growing pains are severe at the bottom. The customer support transcripts are classic humor on two plus two, but when you do talk to someone...it is always a good idea to document them, and send them in with your request for help. By seeing the clueless comments, (poker knowledge not personal attacks), they are better able to train the staff with language that is clearer for Americans. Vikrant, and the programming staff are from India...the need for jobs in India is huge...It is hard to fault a person for actively seeking jobs for his people. On the last PPM cruise, we discussed the "language barrier" between Indian English and American and even English English. The problems are even greater on the telephone as the speech of Indian speakers have a singsong up and down pattern that is very difficult for Americans to understand. I find my head bobbing up and down when I speak on the phone with them, and have to concentrate so hard on the words that are said that the meaning often escapes. This is no way meant to be prejudicial, but a statement of linguistic fact. If you are aware of what the differences are, it sometimes helps to overcome them. |
