Default Stu Ungar story on this morning\'s Sportscenter?

As I was leaving for work this morning I saw ESPN doing a story on Ungar on this morning's edition of Sportscenter, but only caught the last minute or so of the story (which was basically just a summary that he was a great card player with weaknesses away from the card table that caught up with him). Why were they showing this now? Was it an anniversary of his death or something?

When the sportscaster said "ESPN is airing the 2003 World Series of Poker Tuesdays at 9 PM" at the end of the story, that should have told you why they aired it.

Default What\'s up with the Stuey movie?

I would think with the WPT success and the new found mainstream interest in poker, it would be an excellent time to release the movie and capitalize on the wave. Also, is there any word on Nolan Dalla's Stuey book?

Thanks,

It will never see any sort of theatrical release by any of the major studios. The major studio execs and publicists think its basically a pretty amateurishly done film with very limited audience appeal.

Who cares about major studios and the big cinema chains. All we need is a release to the indys that cater to arty films etc. In most urban areas, there are enough of these for the movie to be profitable. Hell, at some point they have to take a shot. They didn't get Imperioli for pennies.
