Default Indianopolis or the field

Who are you taking to win the super bowl? The Colts or the field? Lets assume your life is on the line and if you are wrong, you will DIE the instant the superbowl is over.

there is way too much variance (luck) in football to pass on the field.

It is actually pretty close. Indy is going to get home field, and they're going to be > a TD favorite each game. In fact, seeing as how they are 9 point faves on the road against a 9-3 team this week, they could easily be double digit faves in all 3 games. 10 point favorites win about 82% of the time in the NFL - meaning they should win 3 in a row around 55%.

Ind will be at least 14 point favs in the superbowl. considering they will be at home for the AFC playoffs I would say they are probably 60 percent to win the superbowl right now. My gut tells me they are probably more like 90 percent favorites though.

Peyton breaks his ankle in the 2nd quarter against Denver in the divisional championship game. Cincinatti goes to the Super Bowl. Half this thread dies instantly.

There is no possible way that Denver could play Indy in the divisional playoffs. They will be at worst at 3 seed. Your point dies instantly

It is quite possible for Denver to lose the AFC West and be a wildcard (5 or 6 seed), and in that case if they won their first game they would most likely travel to Indy for the divisional round.

I'm not saying this scenario is all that likely, but there certainly is a possible way.

You're kidding, right?

I don't care who they face in the SB, they won't be 14 pt. favorites

I don't know - I could see them being pretty close to that against the offense-less Bears...especially if the Colts pwn through the best the AFC (better conference) has to offer in the playoffs and someone like the Bears squeak by a couple of ugly games in the NFC (weaker conference).
