I flopped a straight - good fold?
This is my first hand at the table so I have no reads on any players.

A few things : Just go ahead and bet a dollar on the flop. No one is gonna fold for a dollar but call eighty cents. Also, it draws attention to yourself when you make strange bet amounts, and you don't want people thinking, hey, who is that guy who folds alot? you want them thinking "I am fishy mc fisherson lets watch T.V. and call random all ins".
I would push the turn to the min raise, on the river he probably bet you out of a split pot. A set is unlikely to raise the turn, so how can he have a boat? |
