UK Sunday Newspaper - Big Poker Bot Article
In the magazine in the Sunday Mail there is a 3 page article entitled "Why You'll Never Beat the Poker Robots"
A fairly damaging article all round. Paradise is the site that get hosed. When you actually read it is sensationlist gibberish. David Sklansky quote is towards the end of the article and it appears he co-operated with the author. Most hilarious is that the article claims that David is a "godlike figure" to bot programmers. The article ends with [ QUOTE ] The online game is dead: by it's very nature, it is wide open to cheats and colluders. The sooner we realise that we don't know who or how many people we're really playing the better [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: UK Sunday Newspaper - Big Poker Bot Article
With Paradise these days I'd wonder if they were actualy concerned about bots at all. Seems like a good spot for them to go.

nice post, iŽd like to read the whole article, maybe you can post it some day. # thnx tess [/ QUOTE ] Here is the article. Page 1 Online poker is the new "thing" in the UK. Pokerbots are legal and are at every poker table online. It's really easy and cheap to buy one (winholdem) and you can make loads of money doing it. Page 2 It takes 2500 hours to program one of these bots with data otherwise they are useless. If you get caught by a site they will seize your funds. Bots can only beat low limit games. Page 3 If bots could collude with each other it would be terrible and even worse. Don't play online. |
