Chip Report
Englishteastore was running a special on shipping a few months ago, so I thought it would be fun to buy some crazily-flavored chips/crisps from England and eat them with my nephews at Thanksgiving. Well, I forgot so tonight (Friday) my parents and I ate turkey sandwiches and tried the following flavors of Walker's brand crisps:
Prawn Cocktail By far Dad's least favorite flavor. More ketchupy than shrimpy. Smoky Bacon I made my dad guess the flavors of each chip without showing him the package, and this was the only flavor he guessed correctly. Beef & Onion Beefy, oniony. Kinda gross. Roast Chicken Mmmm...tasted like chicken. Worcester Sauce Nowhere near as salty as I was expecting. Quite pleasant. My favorite. Marmite Nowhere near as gross as I was expecting. Marmite taste was very muted in comparison to the potato chip taste. Dad's favorite. Overall Brits are weird. Chips weren't as weird or as salty as I was expecting them to be. Best Comment Mom: "You can buy chips on the internet?!?" |

Re: Chip Report
I bought some sea salt & cracked peppercorn potato chips from the store the other day. They were ok but not as good as sea salt & malt vinegar IMO.
Does anyone make ketchup potato chips anymore? I know Old Dutch used to but haven't seen them in probably 10 years. |
