thinking....
First in raises…
Second in 3 bets… I cap in the CO with red tens… Button calls… Us four play a hand. All players here are solid, a bit agro, no retards though. Flop comes AKQ all hearts. Checks to me, I bet. Everyone calls. Turn is a heart. Checks to me, I bet. Button calls… others fold. River is a heart. I bet, button raises, I 3 bet, Button caps, I call… This was online with a 4 bet cap, had this been live how many bets do you go? |

Re: thinking....
You think he's going crazy with the 9h? I'n not really happy he's capping.

Re: thinking....
well, lets think about this. What hand does he play like this? He is a winning and thinking player.
JJh, sure.. but I would expect a flop or turn raise here? 99h seems to fit... What else is in his hand range? AJo? Doubt it... |

Re: thinking....
he played the hand exactly like JJ[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] - why would he ever raise in the hand? you have flopped a set so often here, why would he raise?
would he even coldcall preflop with 99? edit: i missed that the turn was a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] . yeah you would really expect the nuts to raise here, since he could expect calls from you guys with your top twos and sets. i guess now my only argument for JJh being more likely is his preflop coldcall of the cap. i am still weary of the river 3-bet. |

Re: thinking....
Plus there's two players behind him that he doesn't want to fold on the turn.

Re: thinking....
this game is very aggro... NO ONE is folding that turn... esp with a 2/3/ and 4 bet preflop and then all that paint on the board (think sets and 2pairs). He has the best hand here (if he does have the Jh) and everyone is calling.
yes, i know they did fold... which was shocking to me. both of the guys said after the hand they figured their 4 outs were no good.... |

[/ QUOTE ] JJh makes perfect sense. The hand is 4-way on the turn, he is looking for overcalls from weaker flushes. They fold though, so he goes to town on the river. It makes waaay more sense for a winning player to not raise JJ on the flop and turn, then it does for a winning player to cap the river with a 9h. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think that given the hand ranges a solid player would in fact be well served not to raise here at any point with the J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] considering he's drawing basically all the time and up against hands (top two, a big set) that are three-betting him like every time. But then again, I'm the guy you kept check-raise bluffing at the Wynn 30/60 so... |

Re: thinking....
the guy with the J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] has the nuts on the turn.
thinking a little more about this his turn call with the nuts makes sense. everyone in the hand is a good player and it went 4 way for 4 bets. the deck is crippled, and he knows that. he's trying to get bad calls from AK/AQ (and keep QQ from folding for two). on the turn, how many outs would a guy have with AA here on average with this preflop action and this flop? |

Re: thinking....
lol... nice to meet you dude.
this guy is always raising a J here. hes got 12 outs against 3 players who arent folding. this was the key factor that made me think he doesnt have the J. youve played with me... i check raise and 3 bet all the time with nothing. we only played what, 2-3 hours togeather and i did it what? 4 or 5 times in that game. im about 30x worse when i play online. i get a lot of action because i look like a crazy. it turns out he had 99. He has 2 hands here 99/JJ... that no raise on the flop/turn made me think slightly more often he has 99. i dont think i got lucky here, o well... as always, thanks guys |
