messing around at a home game
1/2 NL home game with a bunch of Illinois State Troopers (Rounders, anyone?). 9 handed, very loose, mix of uber passive players and gamblors. 4 limpers, im on the button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and limp. SB calls and BB checks. Flop is
Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB, who is a loose gamblor who doesnt care about his $ and came to lose it all, bets out 5, everyone folds and I call. Turn is the 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] He bets out $10, making the pot ~$34, I??? Should I have raised for a free card on the flop? Thanks o and his stack after the bet was $30 I had him covered. |

Re: messing around at a home game
call the turn
any heart, 8, 9, or J, bet his most likely holdings are any Q, any T, heart draw, or weird mid-pocket (JJ, 88-44 are all possible) |

Re: messing around at a home game
Doesnt sound like he would care that you raised.
If he likes to gamble and has no cares about his money, big chance he'll re-raise or call/bet anyway. Save the fancy plays for the thinking players. Play this guy straight up. Also, Ive played a few loose gamblers like this who won't let you be the one to put the last raise in. Who ever just calls the raise is less of a man. |
