Interesting T9 hand?
Villain here is 46/10/2 after only 50 hands.
I think the preflop call is a bit loose, but I am trying to loosen up in the blinds, so is this an ok time to do so? Is everything else standard? Re: Interesting T9 hand?
i think this is the type of player that the clarkmeister doesn't apply to. the river check/call seems fine here.
preflop is a call i would like to make, it's probably wrong but if so i'll let someone else tell you that. all the other players are unknown? obviously the flop c/r is fine but betting might be better. |

Re: Interesting T9 hand?
i like the preflop call given the hand is three way. flop and turn look good. river i would probably bet/fold.

river i would probably bet/fold. [/ QUOTE ] Against an agro opponent I think that would be awful. First of all, I would like to induce from this guy. More importantly, using a bet/fold strategy opens us up to losing the whole pot when we are ahead. He can easily bluff raise this river. |

Re: Interesting T9 hand?
i'm just wondering what he would call the turn with. i suppose it all boils down to if you think he will bet with more hands than he would call here.

Re: Interesting T9 hand?
I don't think you have to call a raise on the river.
I think bet/fold the river is justified. Is he really going to raise without a spade? I think the pre-flop call is standard. |

Re: Interesting T9 hand?
I dunno man, he'd have to be a psycho to raise this river without the flush.

Re: Interesting T9 hand?
a good player would be very smart to raise this river with a pair that he was planning to call with. seriously, if you are ever in a position where you have AA on this board with no flush and want to call, id recommend you seriously consider raising instead if you are playing against a reasonable player.
