Sorry about the format, cant find a converter for absolute, I tried to clean it up a bit.
So I havn't been at this table long but this guy has played close to every hand and has bet/re-raise almost every street he's played. He raised me out of a 2nd pair a few hands back. He has almost 70VP$IP, 80% of flops seen, 4.5 agreesion factor. STAGE #226530205: HOLDEM NO LIMIT $0.50 - 2005-11-15 21:59:29 (ET) Table: MERCED (Real Money) Seat #7 is the dealer Seat 7 - LAFORTEZZA ($98 in chips) Seat 9 - __CAZ__ ($33.75 in chips) Seat 1 - DINICHTHUS ($72.85 in chips) Seat 4 - BOOFASAUR ($99.90 in chips) Seat 5 - BLITZKIP ($49.34 in chips) Seat 6 - JESSIC1 ($20 in chips) __CAZ__ - Posts small blind $0.25 DINICHTHUS - Posts big blind $0.50 *** POCKET CARDS *** Dealt to __CAZ__ [Qc 4c] BOOFASAUR - Calls $0.50 BLITZKIP - Folds JESSIC1 - Folds LAFORTEZZA - Folds __CAZ__ - Calls $0.25 DINICHTHUS - Checks *** FLOP *** [Jh Qd 5c] __CAZ__ - Bets $1 DINICHTHUS - Folds BOOFASAUR - Calls $1 *** TURN *** [Jh Qd 5c] [9s] __CAZ__ - Bets $2.50 BOOFASAUR - Raises $8.50 to $8.50 __CAZ__ - All-In(Raise) $29.75 to $32.25 I put him on any two cards expect the high pairs. Apart from that, I just thought I was ahead as per he's been playing every hand like this. I know I should have folded PF, There wasn't enough people look for a flush and I wont do it again. |

if you hate money this hand was fine . [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, top pair against two random cards pretty much sucks. You should wait for at least top set before committing any money against such an aggressive player. If he's just been bluffing the past 15 hands, he's surely due to have you crushed this time. In fact, I'd be worried a bit with top set - it would be better to wait and see if you fill up before investing anything in the pot... and then just hope he doesn't have quads (I'd feel more comfortable if you were the one making quads instead of just the boat, of course). |

[/ QUOTE ] So your saying I should wait for the 1 out of 1000 (I don't know the exact number) hand that I get quads in? Ill have paid 35$ in blinds by then assuming I fold everything. I understand the reasoning, but I don't think I could, or should for that matter, let go of any set vs. a extreme lag. Do I have everything backwards? If lags play close to every hand, there is a good chance you beat them when you play your standard good starting hands. Should I not be trying to let go of hands vs. tight player, knowing they only play good hands, and continue playing good hands vs. lags, knowing they'll play anything? Im not justifying my play. I know its bad and I know why. But your saying I should only be playing supreme hands (you take it a bit far and say top quads!) vs extreme lags. I would think top pair is a better hand to have vs a lag as compared to vs a tight player. edit: Im not Im being understandable, but for example. Give me the same flop as this hand has (QJx) r If I had KQ, I would rather play this vs a lag then a tight player, know the tight player could have QJ or AQ. I don't play the same vs. each playe. I bet into the tighty, and call down the lag. But in this situation , would you not rather be playing a lag? |

With these super lags it's better to let them bet in to you and you call them down, if you reraise them they are going to fold any hand you beat and call any hand that beats you.
