Why (if at all) should I make the switch from limit?
My main game is limit 5/10, but I'm considering moving over to NL. Post your top ten (or five or fifty) reasons why a winning limit player should move to NL.

If you are winning, why move? Both games can be very profitable over the long run.

1. Becasue learning how to play no-limit will make you a better poker player.

Re: Why (if at all) should I make the switch from limit?
I just made the move from 5/10...today!
A strong player at 5/10 can make 15$/hr/table. And about 4 tables is pretty much max. Some can 8 table it, but they are extremely good if they can pull 1.5BB/100 from 8 tables. A strong player at 200NL can make 16$/hr/table (correct me if im wrong) with far less variance. The 200NL player can also add more tables easier than a shorthanded limit player can. |

Assuming those figures ($15 vs $16) are in the ballpark, it sounds like NL is the game with the higher variance. |

Re: Why (if at all) should I make the switch from limit?
5/10 shorthanded with a 3k bankroll is suicide.
5k minimum for pro play. |

One reason, especially if you can play live, more fish willing to give you more of their money than ever before.
