Weak top pair. Good bet on the turn?
Is this a good bet on the turn or just a chip-spew?
$50 NL Texas Hold'em (Real Money) Total number of players : 10 Seat 1 $192.64 ) Seat 2 $67.60 ) Seat 3: BUTTON ( $9 ) Seat 4: SB ( $29 ) Seat 5: Hero (BB) ( $50 ) Seat 6 $56.25 ) Seat 7 $52.35 ) Seat 8 $62.40 ) Seat 9: Villain ( $64.40 ) Seat 10 $79.80 ) SB posts [$0.25]. Hero posts [$0.50]. Seat 6 folds. Seat 7 folds. Seat 8 folds. Villain calls [$0.50]. Seat 10 folds. Seat 1 folds. Seat 2 folds BUTTON [$0.50]. SB calls [$0.25]. Hero checks [6d Qc]. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 4d, 9s, Qd ] SB checks. This is start of my second orbit at the table so not too confident about my reads: So far though villain and BUTTON both seem loose and overly aggressive on the flop. If I lead out I think it’s likely that I will get at least one call and still have no idea where I am. If I check I think that either villain or BUTTON might well bet any two cards. I check. Hero checks. Villan bets [$1]. BUTTON folds. SB folds. Hero calls [$1]. What do you think of this call? My feeling is that I am often ahead here but a better Q is a real possibility. Would a raise be better? If yes why? ** Dealing Turn ** [ Ad ] I picked up a crappy flush draw. The flush-card ace might look scary to another Q and I might be ahead anyway. So I decide to lead out 3/4 pot. Hero [$3]. What do you think of this bet in this spot? Results to follow if I get any replies. |

Re: Weak top pair. Good bet on the turn?
Unless I have a note and/or stats that indicate villain won't/can't fold here, I play it the same.
