Fastplaying is the new slowplaying?
This is from a $6.50 turbo at stars.
A very interesting hand for sure. I could call or make a small raise, but the players at the 6's seem to love to "sniff out bluffs", and I was hoping this guy would do so with his jack. Do you think an average player (well, average for the 6's), will call with a jack here? He probably thinks his jacks are good. 6$ players make stupid plays, dont analyze too much

[/ QUOTE ] He will call almost 100% of the time if he thinks his jack might have some chance of being good. Don't give him a chance to think it over. I believe you should play your strong hands and your weak hands the same way, or however Sklansky put it. |

Re: Fastplaying is the new slowplaying?
I think this is an excellent play at low levels. With all the WPT and WSOP on the ESPN and the ESPN2 and the FSN, people can't figure out why you would bet so much. Even old people... In a live game a friend of mine flopped quad jacks after raising off the BB with JJ in a 6-way pot. He bet the flop and got a few loose-passive callers, bet the turn and everyone folded. When he showed the quads, some old guy asked "Why didn't you check? You had the nuts?"
