(PR 33) - AJ UTG-What\'s my line?
Table is 9 handed. There are about 140 players with 70 getting paid. Blinds are 300/600. I have about 7200 chips. I get AJo UTG. What's my line? I have been raising preflop with average frequency and I have been pushed out of one pot when I was faced with an all-in reraise. About half of the players at my table have me covered and there is no very short stack. I have another part to this question but I do not want to post it before I received responses so I do not taint the replies. Thanks.

Can at least one person offer a reply? I am not making this post because I know what to do and I want to see what other people say. I really want to try and figure out how to play marginal situations like this.

I would throw this one away preflop here. AJ UTG just isn't good enough and you are not in a desperate situations since you got somewhat nice amount off chips.
What would be your plan to a raise? Probably a fold right? Thats why i am throwing this one away. I only bet UTG with hands that I will call/push raises with or bet if im on a stone cold steal attempt |

I appreciate the response. I obviously did not do that and I got myself into a lot of trouble. I was pretty certain it could have been avoided and I just wanted to make sure I was right.

Playing a 12xBB stack is difficult. I would suggest blinding yourself down so that you can push this and feel good about it.
I would push AQ in this spot, but I would fold AJ. |
