Default Young Frankenstein

What does OOT think of this film? It's on Bravo right now. Never seen it, thinking about setting aside some time for it.

Extremely classy to look at, and funny. Watch it!

It's Mel Brooks, and stands alongside Blazing Saddles and the Producers as his 3 best films by far.

This is an absolute classic and should be in everyone's collection!

Three word review: "Young Teri Garr"

I also like the parts with Frau Blucher! (Cue sound of horse whinnying in the background)

"Werewolf?"
"There - wolf. There - castle."

I don't know why, but I LMAO every time with that one.

Same here! Marty Feldman as Igor is out of this world. e.g.

Igor: You know, I'll never forget my old dad. When these things would happen to him... the things he'd say to me.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What did he say?

Igor: "What the hell are you doing in the bathroom day and night? Why don't you get out of there and give someone else a chance?"

Remember when Igo says to Dr. Frankenstein "Walk this way..." and he just follows. Igor meant walk stooped over with a shuffle step

Anyway, that scene inspired Aeosmith's song "Walk This Way".

And now you know...

the rest
of the
story!

Are you telling me that scene inspired the following words?

Backstroke lover always hidin' 'neath the covers
Can I talk to ya my daddy said
Said you aint seen nothin til your down on a muffin
and you sure to be a changin' your ways

I met a cheerleader, was a real young bleeder
Ah, the times I could reminisce
'Cause the best things in lovin'
with her sister and her cousin
only started with a little kiss
like this...

That's quite a stretch.

Igor: Do you also say "Froaderick"?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: No..."Frederick."
Igor: Well, why isn't it "Froaderick Fronkensteen"?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: It isn't it's "Frederick Fronensteen."
Igor: I see.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: You must be eegor.
Igor: No, it's pronounced "eye-gor."
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: But they told me it was "ee-gor."
Igor: Well, they were wrong then, weren't they?
