Bad play or cold decked?
ok so im playing 4/8 hold'em in a casino and its a full table...for some reason I limp with A J off.....two people see the flop with me, one crazy guy and one guy who sees a lot of flops but is pretty tight.
flop comes out J 7 2 rainbow...guy in front of me bets i raise the crazy guy cold calls the raise the tight player then 3 bets it, I call , the crazy guy calls.....the turn is a Jack the tight guy bets out again, I raise the crazy guy calls the tight guy calls.......so the river is an Ace. The tight player bets out again I raise, the crazy guy 3 bets, the tight player calls and I cap.....call call. tight player turns over 77 for a full house crazy player turns over J2 for a higher full house and I turn over AJ for the second nut and the winner it was like a 300 dollar pot So I ask u , how would u play it |

Re: Bad play or cold decked?
Raise preflop. I don't raise the turn. The rest is fine.

Why don't you raise the turn? If the next player is really "crazy" he'll probably be calling your raise. I don't see going for overcalls here as you only have one more player and you can't be worried about much.

I'm worried about the rock 3betting me. Live games are notoriously passive. If some guy, especially a tight guy, is 3betting me, I'm not convinced he's doing it with KJ enough to make raising +EV. Since 72 isn't in his range of hands, I don't think that the turn J changed anything. Either we're still way ahead of KJ, or we're way behind 77 or 22 (outside chance at J7). Hmmm. I just reread the read. Sees a lot of flops, but is tight? I guess I'll need clarification about this. Also, was the tight guy in the BB? This is important since you limped preflop. |

Re: Bad play or cold decked?
First, read the posting guidelines. The way you've written this is a little hard to follow. Also, try to put what position you and the other players are in. Limping AJ UTG isn't as bad as limping in MP2. Other than that I don't see anything wrong.

Re: Bad play or cold decked?
I was UTG 2 i think , the tight one was UTG and the crazy guy was in late position. I didnt raise pre-flop because i was having good luck limping with AJ an KJ etc..just because of the style of the table
