Default KQo in BB, M = 5

UB $30+$3 MTT last night. It's down to 68 out of 400, top 40 make the money. Blinds are 200/400, ante 50. My stack about 5500 chips, M = 5. MP player raises to about 2000 with a stack of about 7000 chips. I think he has a mid pair or better. Folds to me in the BB and I have KQo. Do you push, fold, or call?

I like a stop and go here.

Assuming I just called to see the flop and consider the stop and go . . .

Flop was JTx rainbow. All systems go and push with the oesd and two overcards? Seems like a no brainer push to me on the flop if I had just called the preflop raise, but just checking with the experts here.

Well, if I knew the flop would be JTx rainbow, I'd be a little more likely to play the hand pre-flop.

Let me know if you ever get the ability to know the flop before it comes out.

I was discussing more the issue that he's asking a question about KQo, then following it up with a question about what happens when the flop is JTx rainbow.

I'm trying to make the point that the two discussions are very very separate.

I went broke in the WSOP Circuit $300 event at Caesars IN in an almost IDENTICAL situation (though my M was probably around 3-4). KQ obviously isn't great, and we all know how much better it is to push w/it than to call, but two high unsuited broadways isn't all that bad, esp since he could have something like 99-JJ).

This is a close fold, but hardly a bad call. If your M is any smaller then you must call here.
