JJ fold to turn checkraise
8/16 Canterbury
game: 9-handed, loose passive and good with some weird unwarranted aggression contributed by various fish. Villain: Old, nitty, cold calls like it gets him high, and seems to generally be pissed off at life. Me: Have been playing tight, and aggressive and picking up alot of pots uncontested but having to laydown unimproved hands I raised pf (such as KQ and the like). Running bipolar for the session. Preflop: I raise utg w/ J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] utg+1 three bets, 6 folds, bb calls, I 4-bet (5-bet cap), both call. Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain checks,Hero bets, call, call. Turn:Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero bets, 1 call, villain check raises, I fold. Comments on all streets appreciated |

Re: JJ fold to turn checkraise
Yeah this is a fold. I don't cap this preflop though. Maybe just me.

Re: JJ fold to turn checkraise
I didnt cap, I 4 bet (5-bet cap) for 2 reasons.
A. Too find out if I was up against a higher pair. (i didnt give read on the 3better, but he is quite standard, i.e. would always cap w/ KK or AA, maybe not QQ but oh well). and B. To punish the hell out of the loose bb. |
