Re: Give up immediately?
I'm not really sure if this is correct, but I think you COULD give up on it. Even a draw like JTs diamonds has an edge against you at this point.
Also, feel free to cut out the action after you fold in the future... I don't know, it seems pretty weak-tight to give that advice, but it's not terrible. --Dave. Edit: OP asked the question, who check-folds this flop? |

Re: Give up immediately?
[ QUOTE ]
Who gives up right away on this flop? [/ QUOTE ] Some do, but they shouldn't. Bet-folding is a definite option, especially against passive opponents, but I'd do it even against an aggressive player -- too many things can go wrong and not enough things (2 outs) can go right. [ QUOTE ] Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls. Turn: (8 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero checks [/ QUOTE ] This decision is fine. I also wouldn't mind firing another one, intending it to be the last of the money I put in the pot. This is especially true if players tend to make loose flop calls. You'll get people calling with gutshots (QJ/QT/JT), but they often won't bluff the river when they miss their draw AND they try to check-raise too often when they hit it. |
