Default AJ OOP

Villain is 33/17/2 after 100 hands. What other lines do you take here?

I would have c/r the turn and led the river. I think there is a better chance to get an A to fold this way than the way you played it. Then there is the chance you have a better A in which case you want to extract more bets from villain.

Preflop, flop are fine. But donking the turn does nothing but let hands you are beating get away and better hands call you down. I usually just check call the rest of the way UI, letting kq and worse aces bluff at it. Some of the time i'll c/r the turn if I think that the villian can fold to a c/r. However you need a good read to do this because I see people with these stats call down a turn c/r with ak high, aq high, small pocket pair etc.

Does no one worry about the free card here? Does this not happen often enough? As for the river, I think inducing a bluff works better then actually getting value from a bet.

I think you can bet this river only if you can fold to a raise. He's likely to call w/any ace and not likely to bluff. Overall I think betting here is prolly the best play
