AA 50/100 (cross posted)
50/100 AP 5 handed
Semi-LAG UTG raises, LPP MP Cold calls, I 3bet AA in SB, BB (who is a decent player but too loose preflop and too straightforward postflop) Cold caps, everyone calls (putting MP all in). Flop T76r I bet, BB raises, folded to me and I call. Turn 6r I check, BB bets, I raise, BB 3bets, I call River 2s I check, BB bets, I raise. I think the flop action here is very interesting (and possibly wrong). The turn + river combo is interesting too. Thoughts? |

[/ QUOTE ] yup, what he said [/ QUOTE ] one thing I have noticed at bigger games is people are able to throw their hands away when it's obvious they're beaten even in big pots. the thing I like about his play is it makes harder for the guy to lay down a hand. I would be very surprised if this guy calls a 4 bet with any hand he bets the river with. that said, I think the two situations are very close. also I might checkraise the field on the flop since facing them with 2 cold won't and probably shouldn't make anyone throw away a gutter anyway. I'd rather just pump the flop with a c/r, cap, lead the turn. |

Re: AA 50/100 (cross posted)
i would probably just 4 bet the turn and lead river. you get 2 more bets, but instead you are going for some river checkraise that MIGHT get you 2 bets. boo

Re: AA 50/100 (cross posted)
ok, so cap and lead is the preferred line here right? (i think c/r, c/r is close)

He's never folding to the cap or river lead and you risk losing 2 bets here by this line. There are times when call the three-bet cr the river are good, this isn't one of them. -James |
