JJ 3way
I thought I played this hand weird, let me know what you think.
party 10-20 6 handed UTG calls, I raise JJ on the button, SB 3bets it, we call SB's 3betting range is pretty wide here, i've seen him 3bet with AJo in the CO and raise A2o UTG. UTG is typical loosey. flop is Ad5c4d (I have no diamond). checked to me, what's your plan of action? |

Re: JJ 3way
Is there a reason why you don't cap here when preflop you're significantly ahead of SB's 3-betting range, and UTG is essentially dead money?

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry, didn't mean to respond with only preflop play, I hate it when other people do that. Bet flop, if both call I bet the turn, checking through the river, never overcalling if somebody bets the river. Pretty standard stuff, a lot of turn and river bet/folding depending on what falls. |

Re: JJ 3way
I agree with brazilio that you should cap this preflop (your read is that his 3betting standard is wide)
[ QUOTE ] what's your plan of action? [/ QUOTE ] Well, I have position , so I'll wait and see what these guys do before I make a plan. (otherwise I'd have to do a lot of "if sb...and caller..., then..." |

Re: JJ 3way
I bet flop and turn if checked to me, river depends on what came on the turn and if it's HU or 3-way.
The problem is when I get check-raised on the flop here. I plan to call down if the other guy folds, on most turns and rivers. If the other guy cold-calls, it's really difficult. There's a straight draw and a flush draw on the board, so I may still be good. I may call the flop and see what the turn brings. |

to continue:
flop is Ad5c4d (I have no diamond). checked to me, i bet, both call turn is (Ad5c4d)7h, checked to me, i check river is (Ad5c4d7h)4s, SB bets, UTG calls, i fold i think every street could be debated? |

Re: JJ 3way
well, the turn is eh, I usually bet/fold. The river, overcalling blows once you check through the turn.

[/ QUOTE ] i thought the turn was close between betting and checking, since i thought QQ and KK were def in SB's range. i guess betting is better, since i can easily fold to a c/r i thought the river fold was easy. of course SB turns over a weirdly played KQ and UTG's 66 is good. ugh. |
