It always seems that whenever I have a high pocket pair someone always has a set or higher pocket pair. In an attempt to be more aggressive but get paid off with a lower pocket pair, I allowed him to lead the pre-flop and flop. Any suggestions on what I could have done better? |

Re: My first 2+2 post Missing bets
this hand is fine as you followed through with your plan of raising a big street instead of capping either preflop or on the flop.

Re: My first 2+2 post Missing bets
what bets did you miss? you passed up a small bet to gain an additional big bet on the turn. nh. post some more controversial/marginal hands next time. we wont ebite you.

Re: My first 2+2 post Missing bets
This hand looks great.
The decision whether or not to cap pre-flop when in position should depend largely on reads. As Hobbs says, if you don't cap, you need to follow through with a raise later, which you did. Personally, I think out of position you should cap most of the time, because you it's harder to guarentee that you can get in raises on later streets. |
