Default PSA: Arizona 2+2 Summit (pre-trip report)

Cleinen (above) is coming to Tucson tomorrow to hang out with me and SlackerMcSlacksalot.

Possibilities:

(Eat and Drink Division)
-Chuy's (Margaritas, Chips and Salsa)
-Texas Roadhouse (Steak, Beer, and hot waitresses)

(Gaming, because I heard that you can play poker with actual chips and cards, Division)
-Desert Diamond
-Casino del Sol
-Home game at La Casa de Sixes (the rake is very reasonable).

(If Sixes Loses Good Judgement Division)
-Ten's
-Turbulence
-TD's
-The Candy Store
-That Pirate Ship place on Golf Links

(If Slacker Gets His Way Division)
-La Casa de Slacker (MGD)

(If Cleinen Gets His Way Division)
-The Cactus Moon

Yugo will not be in attendance (hence the late notification). If any other Tucson/Southern Arizona 2+2ers would like to be let in on the info, this is the place to do it. I live in waaayyy NW Tucson just off I-10, so anyone coming from the Phoenix area, it's really not that far and I live in a 4 bedroom house all alone, so there is ample space for passing out. My truck blew up yesterday, and the good people at Enterprise Rental Cars only had a 12 passenger van, so the more the merrier.

In all likelihood, this post will just be me, Cleinen, and Slacks cluttering up the board and pissing off Blue Tooth.

Is Chuy's (Tucson) same as Chuy's (VanHorn, Texs)?
If so; it is the pluperfect Nutz Anybody in West Texas on a late summerday (sunset) with thunderstorms in the east & Chuy's (might be Chuey's) chips/salsa/Tecate/Herradura Now that's what I'm talking about...Oh, B-T-W you also need a 40-yr. old lowrider on your arm....(Sixes knows this)

Chuy's is the same (close enough, they both serve alcohol). As for the pic, that isn't Cleinen's body, but it is his money......

Actually, I think this is the first published picture of Lorinda in the history of this forum.

If you live within 100 miles of Tucson, Wednesday afternoon/evening promises to be weird. In a fun way.

The only "circle-o-death" that mortals should avoid is any table that SlackerMcFish sits at. The rest of Tucson is fine...

As a professional gambler, it is a habit that I not sit at any game in which I do not have an advantage. I have never shown a profit on any table in which Slacker has been sitting with me. He doesn't take my chips, he just steals my mojo . . .

. . . baby.

What would you know about Chuy's, Van Horn?
U've probably never been in Texas.

Read about our world's #1 class act eatery in an SI article by J Madden? OK, Ok, At least now we'll give you credit for being able to read.

The enchalada's are FABULOUS! Make sure you get the chips and salza. Tecate or Dos Equis label required reading, Re-read 3 or 4 times, there will be a quiz.

(The little short 50 year old guy that runs up to your table to thank you for coming is Chuy. Say hi to him and Mrs. for me.)

And no the one in Az is not the same. Worth the trip even if you have to run over to West Texas for lunch. (MapQuest says 551 miles from Phx)

First stop @ Chuy's (Van Horn, Tx) was "serendipity"..Stopped in Van Horn cause I knew I didn't want anything to do with EP; motel clerk recommended Chuy's (yes, Chuy welcomed me...I had chile relleno's "OMG")
Second stop @ Chuy's was planned...Traveling across country with Irieguy, his new wife, my old one...when we left Dallas I said "We stop in Van Horn at dusk or my name isn't "SFB""...We made it....Tecate/tequilla(s)/etc. on the patio with the sun stting to west...raining in the east..got drunk/put a move on new daughter-in-law....waycool

Agree!

Chuy's best place known for watching sunsets, rain, getting bashed, good food, and hitting on anybody handy.

Only problem is Chuy's is 550 miles from anywhere. Santa Fe, Ok City, Dallas, San Antonio... In fact, I think there are only three places that are the same distance from here no matter where you are: Heaven, Hell, and Van Horn.
