ten handed online 30/60. all folded to me and I raised on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Only the BB calls. I only have ~15 hands on him, but he seems slightly loose aggressive.
Flop Q-T-9 with a diamond. He check raises and I call. Turn 8. He checks, I check. River J. He bets, I call. How would you have played it differently? |

bad advice to check the flop. Good advice fold to check-raise. [/ QUOTE ] how, exactly, is a bad advice to check a flop that totally mised you against a laggy opponent that will probably c/r with any 2 cards just because he can. The follow through bet might be expected, but it isn't obligatory. Especially since hero would love to see a diamond or an Ace on the turn. lf |

check the flop... if you bet the flop, easy fold to the checkraise. [/ QUOTE ] Why would you check the flop flawless? Im keeping an open mind, but I would bet here and if im called on this board I would not invest another bet unless I improve. |

this flop hit every texas holdem hand, but A7... a free card might be an A or a diam.

this flop hit every texas holdem hand, but A7... a free card might be an A or a diam. [/ QUOTE ] This is a very good point flawless, and against 2 opponents I would never bet this flop with no hand. But against one opponent, I still get tempted to bet the flop in case he might hold 22-77 which he might fold, or a small suited connector. But like I said before If my flop bet gets called I am investing no more bets in this hand. |

Look at the actual percentage of his hands that you're getting a fold from here. And just take the free card.
