Pinny has ND +13...which is absolutely ridiculous.

ND will definatly cover that. USC didn't look very good against AZ. And if they can't look good against AZ then they won't cover the spread against a good ND team with an off week.

My thinking is USC has been screwing around lately, but I could be wrong. They have much better athletes than Notre Dame.
Aren't those Ty Willingham's players? Didn't they just fire him? When did they become such a juggernaut? I prolly wouldn't bet either way at 13, I'm just saying, I don't think it's a slam dunk. |

you guys blew it...shoulda bet the line back in July. The early bird gets the worm
Seriously, ND as a big underdog is usually very good money, but I'll probably be on USC getting over a touchdown middle ground Actually, my preseason picks are kinda inconsistent. ND+16@Michigan...cool. ND+20vUSC...tbd. ND under 6 wins...very very bad. What was I thinking? |

One good way to deal with this is to make YOUR OWN line before the numbers come out, and then compare. I make it USC -6, so I'm gonna love taking the points. And I have never been, nor am I now, a big ND supporter.
It might be a mistake to get too wrapped up in how USC did against Az. It was a "sandwich game" between ASU and ND, a notorious flatspot. USC came from behind against a very good ASU team, in a big effort, and probably were still celebrating when they took on the "weak" Arizona. I have been very impressed with ND this season, and feel like they'll be a top 10 team, maybe even better than that by the end of the year. Weis is turning them into a "Little New England." They play the same way as the Pats. They had the week off to gear up for this, are at home, and should come out 10 feet tall. I feel like Charlie has been pointing to this game all year, and he's already shown he can get a team ready for a big effort. Either way, enjoy the game! bill |
